OLDER PEOPLE'S FOOD CHARTER

This website and its enablers seek to engage older people, their organisations and carers, in planning the content of an Older People's Food Charter, in the first place to be presented to a Public Services Human Rights Summit in Wales which takes place on July 6th 2009.

Activities already undertaken include gaining support in the Governments of the 4 Countries of the UK (see UK Parliaments menu above), running a UK-wide Food Survey for Older People, and reporting preliminary results to an Older People's Food Summit. You are welcome to participate by submitting comments where indicated, and by completing the Food Survey here on-line if you wish.

Submissions to Westminster (Early Day MotionAn Early Day Motion (EDM) is a way for Members of Parliament to register their concern about issues. Once it has been raised by one or more MP, others can subscribe to it to show their agreement with its aims. The more MPs who subscribe, the more political weight the EDM carries in the UK Parliament.

It is also a good indication of whether or not an individual MP is aware of, and cares about, different issues.
